Jesus Our Model

par Zacharias T. Fomum

In 1998, believers from across the nations gathered in Lagos for the First World Convention of Christian Missionary Fellowship International. This book is the record of those days—twenty-three sessions of teaching by Zacharias Tanee Fomum, transcribed from his spoken words, on the theme Jesus Our Model . Inside, the reader will find his searching exposition of Mark 3:14—“ He appointed twelve that they might be with him” —as God’s first priority of intimacy before service; Jesus presented as our Model in prayer, as the Leader at prayer and as evangelist; the session on the will of God, where true stories of ill-fated journeys drive home that “ every decision is very heavy” ; practical teaching on giving, soul-winning, spiritual warfare and the ministry of fasting, including counsel for pastors on the 40-day fast; and the solemn moment when the author, rebuked by the Lord over money, knelt and repented publicly before the whole convention. This is not a book to admire but a training course to undergo— the military academy of God , in print.
