Too Late?

I walked into the side room of the university teaching hospital. Lying on the bed in a very relaxed posture was a beautiful young lady of about twenty-five. She had brilliantly finished her studies and was working on her thesis for a doctorate degree. She looked so happy and was in such good form that I wondered why I had been told that she was very ill. When I talked to her, she told me that she had a mild kidney problem.
